There is something about a girl or woman in men’s wear. This look has always existed in time. Not always accepted but done anyway. What was it about wearing men’s clothing that made women cross from dresses and frills to grab a pair of pants and boots instead?
Gone are those days when wearing the clothes of a man, made you look butch or manly. There were men's suits and pants that didn’t quite allow us to venture. It left no creativity for a woman.
Today is not uncommon for a girl to put on men’s clothing.
Matter of fact, it’s common to see a “tomboy look”. Today clothes tell a story about us. Our clothes
tell who we are. There is more flexibility in what we can wear. We can wear
clothes that let us be ourselves.
From skinny
to plus size women, makes no difference, the clothes of today can offer a variety
of looks. With name-brand wear like Nike,
Converse Adidas, Timberland, etc.
Tattoos
have also become such a big fashion for women. Having the ability to choose to
wear one or two tattoos, to a half or full-body tattoo. Adding a sexy and
unique style to their already “tomboy look”.
Underwear also plays a part in tomboy wear. Boxers are some of the most worn pieces of clothing, worn by women. Boxers provide that comfortable yet sexy look on a woman.
Let’s not
forget accessories like hats, sunglasses,
watches,
jewelry, and other accessories women wear. Bling is very important. Whether you
like name-brand jewelry
or something
inexpensive, accessories can bring out the clothes you wear.
Women today can wear men’s wear but still have that feminine touch. This is an advantage that women have. With the different hairstyles that are out now, a woman can sport her braids, long hair, or a short sexy cut.
How about
the ripped
look? A pair of jeans with the timberlands to match or a hoodie and sweats
with some sneakers. Women can sport athletic
wear, streetwear,
and the preppy look, women can look good wearing either look.
Even though today women can venture with their clothing and make their own statement, it’s just something about that “tomboy look” that’s turning a lot of heads.
